Shy Glizzy is a provocative young figure. The DC rapper has made his rounds early in 2012 known for his beefs with Chief Keef and fellow DMV son Fat Trel (who seemingly have made up thanks to Wale’s peacemaking abilities), and his tirades have brought more ire among peers than support. All of that doesn’t phase Glizzy one bit as he now released his latest mixtape, Fxck Rap, and with it a stellar highlight in “Sad To Say”.

With his nasally delivery, Shy raps about the hardship of growing up in DC and how his career almost came to an end due to a stabbing. Over a simple melody of keys, Glizzy channels Carter I-era Wayne with this retrospective. The mixtape includes features from Wale and Trinidad James, which is available here.
